About Us
Suncity was founded in the year 2018 by Damilola Joseph Akinyemi. His journey began as a child, captivated by how things work and driven by a deep curiosity to build solutions that truly matter. That childhood ambition grew into a lifelong passion, leading him to graduate as a Chemical Engineer from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).
During his studies, something shifted. He discovered a profound calling within the energy sector Renewable Energy. He saw firsthand how clean, sustainable power could transform lives, protect our environment, and secure our future. He knew then: this was the path he was meant to follow.
While charting his way into this field, he seized an opportunity to enrol in a comprehensive Solar Power Vocational Training Program. It was there, surrounded by the science and technology of harnessing the sun, that the name SUNCITY was born a vision of a community, a nation, powered by clean, limitless energy.
From that spark, we grew through consistency, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. What began as one person’s passion has evolved into a trusted renewable energy company, proudly serving homes, businesses, and communities across Nigeria.

Suncity Renewable Energy Company is a CAC-registered renewable energy solutions provider (RC No: 9486502), founded on the belief that every Nigerian deserves access to reliable, affordable, and clean energy. Since our official establishment in 2018, we have successfully delivered over 500 projects across multiple states building a reputation for quality, integrity, and innovation.
We are not just an installation company we are problem solvers. Recognising the limitations of existing water control systems, we designed and developed our own Automatic Water Pump Controller in 2022 a smarter, more reliable alternative to traditional float switches, now trusted by hundreds of households and businesses.
